Bob Ohrum
Bob Ohrum is… distant highways, crumbling factories, the lonely sound of a 2 A.M. train, and the beauty of the city at night…
In his own words: “I started writing music and playing bass in an assortment of shoegaze bands in the early 90s. As the decade progressed I became more and more drawn to experimental music and analog synthesizers. During that time I recorded my first Ambient music demos on four-track cassette. In 2000 I moved to Cape Cod, Massachusetts where I lived for three years. While living on the Cape I immersed myself in the natural beauty of the ocean. When I moved back to Buffalo in 2003 I had a renewed drive to record. At that time, I found a love for field recording and began to incorporate it into my music. It is my goal to make music that captures and compliments the environment around me, be it city or nature, daytime or night.”
Leonardo Rosado
Leonardo’s principal musical focus explores the collision between soundscapes and poetry, using automatic writing expression – WORDSOUNDSCAPES. The automata is used on the construction of words/poems and sounds/music that jointly deliver messages to help society with one of the most important and forgotten concepts: REFLECTION. Words and sounds have different meanings, depending on their listener, but only if s/he takes some time to delve into the complexity of his or her own stimuli. Leonardo has been curator of FeedbackLoop Label since September 2009 and co-curator of XS Records, a Portuguese netlabel since May 2009. He also records as Subterminal and released Bright Dawn Sketches with PublicSpaces Lab in 2010.
Chris Russell
Chris Russell has been recording ambient music since 2000. He’s recorded the score to an indie horror film as well as playing in several bands over the years. His music is influenced by nature, the future, the ebb and flow of life, conspiracy theories and hidden esoteric knowledge. He has released two albums on AtmoWorks: Aralu and Merge. Both were released in 2009.
