Chris Russell has been recording ambient music since 2000. His music is influenced by nature, the future, the ebb and flow of life, conspiracy theroies and hidden esoteric knowledge. In 2002, he did the soundtrack to a local indie horror film called 13, and he has worked with several bands including: Single File Suicide, Torn Skin, and Syntax Error. He started posting his solo music online in 2006 and released his first solo album on AtmoWorks in 2009.

Aralu (AtmoWorks, 2009)
The Aralu is a lost Babylonian underworld. Conceived as a vast, dark underground cave, entered through a hole in the earth, guarded by seven doors to which souls go after death and give oracles to the living.
Merge (AtmoWorks, 2009)
Merge is the follow up album to Aralu, the next step in my evolution of art and sound. With this album, I wanted to combine light and dark soundscapes with more of an experimental edge. I wanted the overall feel of the album to be nothing like Aralu. I wanted a slightly darker edge and to bring in a more diverse and eclectic mix of sound. The title track, Emerge, is a bold step in a new direction for me and a new path for me to explore. 2009 has been a very productive year creatively, and this music flows right into the next album, Frozen.
