Greg M (eyes cast down) is delighted and honored to be invited to the Relaxed Machinery label.
Now based in Chicago, Greg made his first forays into ambient/electronic music in 2004. Highlights of those early efforts are chronicled in his blog 1st Iterations (music clip here).
He cites Steve Roach, vidnaObmana, Robert Rich and Jeff Pearce as his strongest musical influences, though there are many more.
He expects to release his first two albums in early 2012: The Separate Ones, a solo album with a few guests; and Pastimes of Creation, recorded with Keshava-Lila, a trio with accordionist Jaro Czerwinec and singer Dasi.
After that, projects in the queue include the duo album Memory Palace with Chris Russell; a duo/recycling project, Nuances of Illusion, with violinist Ezra Azmon; an album of cover pieces spanning the entire 20th century and beyond; a meditative long-form, and others.
Greg’s music is included on three compilations: Clear Moment Remixed, Conception and all|is|calm 2011. Two other comps will be released on Relaxed Machinery in 2012.
Greg’s official website is www.eyescastdown.com. Info on his other music projects can be found at his Kalindi Music website. He publishes album reviews and other writing on his WordPress blog and also has a page on Relaxed Machinery’s Ning community.
