A few things to consider…
* Have you read the blog? The about page? Do you like what you’re seeing?
* Does your music fit into the general idea of “ambient” and/or “techno”. If one of the following terms generally describes your music, than the answer is probably yes: beatless, drift, soundscape, minimal techno, dub, ambient groove, chill, soundtrack, microsound, drone, repetitive, looped, tribal, dark ambient, techno, electronic.
* Are you happy with downloads and cdr’s? At this time I have no plans to do manufactured cd’s.
* Are you happy with paying for your release through CD Baby (approximately $55.00), setting up your own account there, and of course, keeping 100% of sales?
* Don’t send me mp3’s through email. Thank you!
Also, don’t be offended if I say ‘no’. Relaxed Machinery will not be a big, high volume label. I’m planning on between 4 and 8 releases the first year (2010) and probably 8 or 10 per year after that. I want to make sure there’s enough time for each release to “breathe” and have the time it deserves for promotion.
